Community
"Sangha" is the Sanskrit term for "community of practitioners" -- one of the three jewels of Buddhism. The Miami Shambhala Meditation Group, as part of a wonderfully diverse community, welcomes all who share a genuine connection to contemplative practice and the aspiration to realize a more wakeful, sane society.
In addition to our weekly Dharma Gatherings, from time to time the Miami Shambhala Meditation Group also holds social events, special programs and celebrations. Members and friends of the Shambhala Center are warmly welcome to attend any event offered, no matter their level of practice.
In addition to our local community, Shambhala is a member of an ever-widening circle of practitioners, teachers and aspirants. Most major cities in the world now have a Shambhala Center and we also have rural practice centers which offer deeper study and practice.

The Miami Shambhala Buddhist Meditation Group is a part of Shambhala International, a Colorado non-profit corporation. Your tax-deductible donation enables us to pay rental on our meditation spaces, maintain our website and mailings, provide refreshments, books and other materials and help support Shambhala International's important activities worldwide. Your donation is tax-deductible and, however small, much appreciated.

| His Holiness Karmapa |
|
| Like the light of the sun, moon, and stars, may love, compassion, and wisdom shine forth. May they strike every single living being and dispel the darkness of ignorance, attachment, and hatred that has lurked for ages in their being. When any living being meets with another, may it be like the reunion of a mother and child who have long been separated. In a harmonious world such as this, may I see everyone sleep peacefully to the music of nonviolence. This is my dream.
--- by His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje
